I have a coworker who has a 2 year old little boy. When she came back to work after his birth, I encouraged her to savor each moment and milestone because “In a few weeks, he will be graduating highschool”. She didn’t understand that until his first birthday and she asked “Where did the year go?”. I again told her that in a few weeks he will be graduating highschool…she got it. My first “birth” grandchild graduates highschool next week…for real. Wasn’t it just a few weeks ago she was crawling around my floor asking for “Pizza”? (That is a story I’ll share at another time.)
Yes, time flies. And each minute passes to never be regained. Savor the moments. In just a few weeks, Charlie will be married and giving you grandchildren!
The older I get the faster time flies. Einstein was right – time is relative. 🙂
